An Epiphany Service in Sun Valley is special. We’re a strong stock of people. We do the WHOLE service of the Word outside on the Labyrinth, huddled around a bonfire, with dusk light, and gentle snow falling atop the feet of it already present. After we share the Peace we head inside, shed our many layers, and join together for the Eucharist. Only to head back outside to play with sparklers as we consider the star that led the magi to toddler God or where we might like to see the Glory of the Lord in 2016.
Looking back on the evening, I can already see the light of Christ in the faces of those in attendance. What a gift Jesus was to the world. What a gift our community is that gathers because of him. What a gift indeed.

We were asked to share either Where we had seen the Light of Christ in 2015 or How we’d like to see the Glory of the Lord in 2016 and then to burn a bough of our Christmas tree.
